Long Bio: I’m kind of like a blended Tequila. Read on.
I once asked my astute drinking buddy, Pat Ramsey of Slash25, (shameless plug – He’s amazing though! + he helped me get my blog started) “What is a good adjective to describe the noun ‘blend’ when describing a tequila?” He informed me that tequilas are not blended. They are pure. Come to think of it, 100% agave is delicious.
But, since I was starting MY blog, and since I had already decided on the title, I had to decide what I was 100% __________. I’m not pure passion. I have a sort of level head. I’m not any one skill set or any one type of dad or brother or son. I’ve never been a pure geek, but I wasn’t quite a pure suit when I tried it. I’ve never been a pure man’s man. I liked Dawson’s Creek a lot. But I’ve never been a pure softy either. My claim to fame is knocking 3 opposing quarterbacks out of the game in one season in Freshman football. Go Bulldogs! I’m half Hispanic, half Caucasian. I can roll my rrrrrrs and eat brie cheese with the best of em. So, I guess I’m more of a blend.
So that’s how I’m going to roll this thing. I’m a blend of love, life and entrepreneurship. I can say that 100%.
I’m currently a loving husband to my beautiful wife Meghan Dixon. I’m daddy to a 2.5 year old, amazing son Jaxton. My dad is in the oilfield. My mom is the family glue. My baby bro has chosen to serve his country and is stationed in Ft. Bliss, El Paso. God Bless him!
My life in Austin has only just begun. I relocated to Austin in 2007 after 3 years in Southern California. I’m all Texan though, having grown up in sunny Laredo, Tx.
My entrepreneurial endeavors have numbered many at this point. My top focus is Cospace.
